After last year’s successful event the Bromley Santa Dash is back again this year, giving you an opportunity to join 100’s of Santa’s and jog or walk our 2km course which finishes in Bromley Town Centre on Sunday 30th November.

ABOUT THE EVENT
What is the Bromley Santa Dash?
The Santa Dash is a fun, festive, family orientated event over a 2km course starting at Queens Mead Rec and finishing up on Bromley High Street. The ‘dash’ is not a race, but a fun run, jog or walk around the course, allowing you to be a part of a fantastic Christmas experience as one of 100’s of Santa’s taking part.
Upon registration, you will receive a race pack which you collect prior to the event which contains your very own Santa suit and race number to be worn on the day. The event starts with a mass Christmas themed warm up, down at Queens Mead to get you all in the festive spirit and after you’ve completed your run you will also receive your souvenir medal!
Where & when?
The Santa Dash starts at 2pm on Sunday 30th November at Queen’s Mead Recreation Ground, however you will need to allow around 15-20mins beforehand to get down to the start and take part in the fun warm up.
Full event details will be provided in the race pack which will be available for collection before the event.
Who can take part?
The Santa Dash is a fun, family orientated event and is open for everyone to participate in, as long as you and anyone else you are signing up to the event are fit and able to take part.
You can sign a maximum of 6 people up on each registration form, however under 12’s must be accompanied by an adult on the day. Under 3’s won’t receive their own race pack or Santa Suit, however there will be a medal for them at the finish.
The course is set over a combination of mixed terrain and although we welcome pushchairs and wheelchair users to take part in the event, please be aware that due to the nature of the course you will be asked to start towards the rear of the participants to avoid bottle necks along the course.
Unfortunately dogs and reindeer are unable to take part in the event due to the nature of the course.
Please remember it’s not a serious running race and we recommend you jog or walk the course, taking in the atmosphere of the day.
How do I register & pay?
To register for the event, simply follow the link below to the online registration & payment page (through PayPal) where you will be able to sign up & pay for up to 6 people (including yourself) to take part in the event.
The deadline to register for the event is Sunday 16th November, however as there are limited spaces (approx. 800) don’t leave it too late as you may miss out. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Please note, there will be no registration on the day – all registrations must be done in advance as detailed above.
What happens once I’ve registered to take part?
Once you have registered and paid, you will receive a confirmation email to say that you have successfully booked to be a part of the event.
Then all you need to do is wait until the week beginning 17th November when you will receive your collection voucher. This will enable you to collect your race packs as detailed below in the week building up to the event so it is essential you do not lose or delete this email!
When and how do I collect my race pack?
You will receive an email two weeks before the event (as detailed above) which will contain your collection voucher allowing you to collect your race pack(s) before the event.
Your pack(s) must be collected between Saturday 22nd – Saturday 29th November from the Pavilion Leisure Centre, Bromley, so that you can turn up to the event suited up and ready to go!
Your race pack will also include your joining instructions for the event, which includes the final event timings, meeting point maps and other details for the day.
What size are the Santa suits?
There are three sizes of suits available, which you can request when completing the registration form.
The adult’s suits come in a ‘one-size-fits-all’ size – but by picking them up in advance you will have time to customise!
This year there are two sizes of junior suits, one suitable for 4-7 years, and the other 8-11 years; however please note these ages are just a guide and not an exact measurement.
As detailed above, there are no suits for the under 3’s, (mainly because they just won’t fit), however they will still receive a medal upon crossing the finish line and they still need to be included in the registration.
