Position: Deputy Crèche Leader
Location: Walnuts Leisure Centre - Orpington
Salary: £10,512 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, 23.5 hours for 51 weeks per year
We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Crèche Leader to join our team at the Walnuts Leisure Centre. If you already work with children and are looking to progress your career in childcare then this role is for you.
You will work within the crèche, supporting the Crèche Leader in the day to day management of the childcare setting and act as leader in his or her absence. The role includes assisting the Crèche Leader in providing a caring, safe and secure environment for children to learn and grow through a variety of play opportunities. You will assist in planning and providing a range of age appropriate activities for children between the ages of 3 months to 5 years. You will need to be available from 8.00am weekday mornings.
What skills we are looking for
· Confident and experienced childcare practitioner
· Professional attitude and desire to deliver an excellent childcare service;
· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to appropriately promote the positive behaviour of children where necessary;
· Energetic and enthusiastic;
· A can-do attitude and a real focus on customer service;
· Knowledge of Child Development, Equality & Diversity, Safeguarding Children and OFSTED
Childcare/Early Years: Level 2 and/or Level 3
