Driving Community Change

The Communities Driving Change (CDC) programme, now in its fourth year works with London Borough of Tower Hamlets residents to activate communities who want to lead the change in how health and well-being services work. During the COVID-19 pandemic we have needed to adapt many of our well-being activities and move them online. We have also supported local partners with emergency response needs ensuring that vital food and medicinal items are delivered to our more vulnerable residents.   .

The CDC Programme aims are for residents to build up confidence and skills to:

  • identify issues impacting on health and wellbeing that matter to local people
  • promote and lead activities that can improve health and wellbeing
  • recruit other residents who have the energy and passion to make a difference
  • The Communities Driving Change Programme after 3 years at Mytime Active has moved to the Young Foundation where we will continue our work with communities in the South West neighbourhoods of Tower Hamlets: Shadwell, St Dunstan’s and Whitechapel..
