Swimming Coordinator - West Wickham

Mytime Active is looking for a Swimming Coordinator to promote, manage and develop the Swimming Programmes and report on progress of our programme objectives

Position: Swim Coordinator

Location: West Wickham (BR4 0PY)

Within this role you will play a key part in the customer experience – you are the first and last impression of the centre for our customers. Our ideal candidate will have a professional and confident manner who can also keep calm under pressure.

You will be working both as part of a team and also alone. You will be expected to take cash and card payments, answer the phone, upsell products and general housekeeping duties.

There are no specific qualifications required for this job role but experience of working in a fast paced or customer facing environment is desirable but not essential. Good communication and numeracy skills are essential. Full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

  • To co-ordinate the swim lesson programme and waiting lists for courses, liaising with centre management and Swimming Instructors as appropriate.
  • To monitor uptake of swimming lessons, keeping records continuously up to date and report on progress regularly to the centre management team and other colleagues as appropriate.
  • To order equipment and badges, coordinate distribution of badges and ensure equipment in use is checked regularly and is fit for purpose.
  • To ensure all aspects of the course programmes adhere to Health & Safety Codes of Practice and Regulations.
  • To oversee any special pool events or programmes, ensuring an evaluation report is produced following the event.

Your Skills:

  • Using a range of Microsoft office packages
  • Great communication skills
  • Manage customer issues effectively
  • Demonstrate an ability to prioritise workload

- National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and coaches or NPLQ
