Position: Casual Bar Staff
Reports to: Halls Supervisor
Location: Orpington, Kent
Salary: £7.83 per hour
Job Type: Casual but must have good availability at evenings and weekends
Start date: ASAP

The role

You will support the Halls Supervisor and Officers with the day to day operation of the bar services at Crofton Halls. 

Key responsibilities

Duties will include:

  • serving of drinks (including alcohol) during functions and events
  • ensure products are fully stocked
  • operate a till and reconcile income at the end of functions
  • keep working areas clean and presentable including washing glasses at all times

Qualities needed

Good communication and customer service skills are essential as well as being numerate and literate.  Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to work on their own as well as working effectively in a team.

Previous experience of bar work is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.  A good level of general physical fitness and dexterity is essential to enable the post holder to move items of stock (including kegs)  and to be able to stand for several hours at a time.  Applicants must be over the age of 18 because the serving of alcohol will be part of this job role.
