Following months of closure for a multi-million pound refurbishment, these doors are opening soon. But this time, things may just look a little different.

Fitness, swimming, and family fun have all been brought together under one roof, meaning however you want to get moving, you can do it all right here. From our brand-new two-level gym to the introduction of a 25m competition pool and learner pool, any exercise habits you’re building can all be practiced in one place.

But that’s not all we’ve added – far from it! There’s an entire world of modern fitness facilities, easy-to-use equipment, and new passions of yours just waiting to be discovered.

What’s coming to Walnuts Leisure Centre?

When this centre’s doors open again, what’s inside will make it feel like a completely different venue to the one you knew. We’ve invested millions into making it easier for you to do what you want to do, and achieve your wildest fitness goals, all under one roof.

Walnuts Leisure Centre will now have:

A new two-level gym

Complete with the latest modern equipment, state-of-the-art power assisted machines, and a functional training area with classes for up to 24 people

A sauna and steam room

Nothing soothes the body after a strenuous workout than a trip to the sauna or steam room. What a way to relax, rejuvenate, and recharge between sessions.

Additional exercise classes

More choice is never a bad thing. We’re bringing you more group classes for adults and juniors to choose from, so you can focus on the workouts that work for you.

Swimming pools and water fun features

Make a splash in our 25m competition pool, our learner pool for those just getting started, or our child-friendly activity wall to give the kids a fun day out.

A power-assisted, low impact studio

Be kind to your body with gentle, rehabilitating sessions and measure your progress with EGYM and InBody in our rehab studio.

New café and changing rooms

Enjoy a coffee or a bite to eat in our new café -- plus, enjoy a smoother transition in and out of workouts with our new and improved changing rooms.

Plus, Soft Play, the sports hall, and racquet sports are all sticking around -- so you can still enjoy the old favourites!
