Festive celebrations at the Pavilion

The Mytime Active team at the Pavilion Leisure Centre enjoyed getting festive on Friday 9 December 2016 as we opened our doors to thank members, guests and friends for another successful year.

The Members’ Christmas Shindig started with a welcome drink and canapes served by waiters to help our members feel like VIPs before some fun on the bowling alley and dancing to DJ Matt Patterson of Diamond Disco Services. Matt’s choice of tunes and lighting transformed the bar area and kept the floor filled all night long.

Local partners Payley Photography offered guests the opportunity to have portrait style photos taken against a luxurious backdrop, with or without festive accessories. Photographers Hayley and Richard also mingled with the crowd for action shots of the bowling and on the dance floor, so that we could savour the memories of a fantastic evening.

The evening was a huge success with 190 guests attending, making the party the Pavilion’s largest event of this type to date, and we have aspirations to go even bigger!

20 of our Primetime members also celebrated another successful year of activities by getting together after the final class of the year.

Our Primetime coaches always arrange a little something around the festive period for their loyal regulars, and reserved the front café area at the Pavilion for a delicious (yet cost-effective) afternoon tea. The team decorated the café, while crackers and paper hats added to the festive feel.

Due to family commitments, a few of the usual participants were unable to make it this year, but the rest enjoyed a selection of Christmas sandwiches, mince pies and scones. We look forward to a bigger and better party in 2017.
