Join the Sandwell Sport Relief Mile

Dust off the trainers for a great cause this March. The Sport Relief Mile is back!

The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile is back for another lap this year in West Bromwich. The town is set to host its fourth Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile on Sunday 20th March, and needs local people like you to rise to the challenge by entering now at www.sportrelief.com

Local heroes from across Sandwell will be walking and running themselves proud during the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile to raise life-changing money for Sport Relief 2016. By entering the Sport Relief Mile you will be doing your bit to make a difference to people living across the UK and the world’s poorest communities.

Setting off from Dartmouth Park, the Sandwell Mile is set to be an incredible event with entrants able to choose a 1, 3 or 6 mile route. Be 'on your marks' at 11am with registration on the day starting from 10am.

Jasmine Heir, physical activity development officer in West Bromwich, said:

"The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Dartmouth Park is here and it’s your time to walk or run yourself proud. From little ones with their mums and dads, to runners up against the clock there’s something for everyone to make themselves feel proud on this special day. To support people get into the spirit of the event, we are also hosting a series of community jogging sessions starting in January that are all completely free & suitable for all levels to participate in.”

Whether you get sponsored to enter an event at the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games or fund raise with friends and family at home, work or school, you’ll help people living incredibly tough lives. In fact, half of all the money raised by the public is spent right here at home in the UK, with the other half used to make a difference in the world’s poorest communities.
