New partnership between England Golf and Mytime Active

England Golf and Mytime Active, one of the UK's largest pay-and-play golf course operators, have announced a new partnership to support the drive to grow the game.

The two organisations have signed an agreement to work together to:

  • Increase participation in golf by engaging with new audiences
  • Promote golf as an inclusive and accessible sport
  • Increase the number of club and affiliated members
  • Grow the number of young people, women and black and minority ethnic golfers
  • Promote the health benefits of golf

The recently signed partnership agreement will be showcased at the England Golf annual conference on 16 April 2015.

The partnership supports the aims of the England Golf strategic plan, Raising Our Game, which calls on all who care about the game to work together to create a brighter future for golf, including more players, more members and stronger clubs.

David Joy, England Golf Chief Executive, said:

"This new partnership offers a great opportunity to increase the numbers of people playing golf and joining clubs. Both organisations are dedicated to exploring new ways and practical projects to grow the game at grass roots."

Mytime Active has 16 'pay and play' golf courses in London, Kent, Hampshire, Sussex and the Midlands.  Mathew Roberts, the Commercial and Operations Director, said:

"The agreement represents the ideal combination of England Golf's strategic role and Mytime Active’s position as one of the largest pay-and-play operators in the UK.
"As trusted partners together we can explore, try out and implement the best methods and schemes for growing this wonderful sport that has the ability to excite and engage both new and experienced players across the generations."
