Santa Dash on tour

The final leg of the Mytime Active Santa Dash tour took place last weekend in Sandwell and Dibden.

Over 700 Santas joined us at Sandwell Valley Park to run a 2km route, supported by our volunteers and the MTA Sandwell health team – with fitness instructors James and Natalie leading the warm up.

We were joined by Radio Sandwell presenter Rupi Lal, who said the event was ‘amazing’.

The Dash was officially started by manager Mary Fairfield, who expressed her delight at being involved in such a wonderful event.

The MTA team then made their way to Dibden, to deliver their second annual Dash.

Over 250 Santas took part, jogging and running around our own Dibden golf course with the help of the Dibden Scouts and Rotary Club volunteers. The event started at 11am, and the first heroic Santa crossed the line in just ten minutes, with the others in hot pursuit!

General Manager Roger Tomey had arranged a reward of mince pies and hot chocolate – a great way to end the last Santa Dash of the year.

Mytime Active’s Santa Dash events help families and local communities across England to get active at Christmas. A massive thank you to all involved in this year’s tour – and we hope to see you again next year!
