Seriously Social Day 3 - Bringing Team Bromley together!

Team Bromley’s Quest for a Historic London Youth Games Three-Peat!

Mytime Active coordinates Team Bromley’s participation in the London Youth Games, working closely with schools, clubs, coaches, and volunteers across the borough to give young athletes the opportunity to compete on one of London’s biggest sporting stages.

After finishing first among all 33 London boroughs and lifting the prestigious London Youth Games Jubilee Trophy in both 2024 and 2025, Team Bromley is now aiming to make history by retaining the trophy for a third consecutive year. With strong competition from across the capital, the challenge is on – but Team Bromley has already made an impressive start to the 2026 season.

A Flying Start to 2026
Cross Country

The season began in style at Parliament Hill in November 2025, where our cross-country team, organised in partnership with Blackheath & Bromley Harriers, delivered outstanding performances. The girls’ team stormed to first place, securing gold medals, while the boys’ team claimed an excellent second place and silver medals. A fantastic way to kick off the campaign!

Trampolining

Working alongside Beckenham Fliers Trampoline Club, Team Bromley entered a talented trampolining squad that achieved a respectable 10th-place finish at the January competition.

Squash

In partnership with Bromley Tennis & Squash Club, our squash team dominated their qualifying matches, winning every game to reach the finals. They went on to finish in an impressive fourth place, narrowly missing out on a podium position.

Boccia

Students from our new partner school, Marjorie McClure School, represented Bromley in the Boccia competition on 25 March. The team performed brilliantly and secured a top-10 finish, placing ninth overall.

Cricket

Both the girls’ and boys’ cricket teams, representing Hayes Cricket Club, competed strongly in their respective tournaments and finished ninth in London.

Judo

Our judo athletes took to the mats on 18 April and showed significant improvement on last year's results. The boys’ team finished 14th, a huge leap from 26th place in 2025, while the girls improved from 18th to 16th place. Their hard work and determination are clearly paying off.

Inclusive Basketball

Two teams made up of students from Glebe School competed in the Inclusive Basketball event at the University of East London on 7 May. After weeks of training during their lunch breaks, both the girls’ and boys’ teams produced superb performances to finish as runners-up. Their silver-medal finishes earned valuable points for Team Bromley in the race for the Jubilee Trophy and capped off a memorable day of competition.

Team Bromley delivered an outstanding performance at the London Youth Games Para Games Swimming Gala. The team, made up of 15 talented young people from Glebe School with a range of impairments, competed to a remarkable standard throughout the event

Looking Ahead 👀

With more events still to come and valuable points up for grabs, the race for the Jubilee Trophy is far from over. Team Bromley has already demonstrated incredible talent, commitment, and teamwork, and we look forward to cheering on our athletes as they continue their pursuit of a historic third consecutive title.
