Five family fun ideas for summer

As the school holidays are fast approaching, are you running out of ideas when it comes to family-friendly activities? It can be tough to keep the kids occupied while you’re juggling daily life, so the Mytime Active team has pulled together a list of some fun activities to help you create some precious memories this summer…

  1. Swimming

This is our number one activity, simply because you can all swim together as a family. When the sun is shining, you and your children will relish a dip in a cool swimming pool. Our pools have a range of fun inflatables too, so you can play a variety of pool games, as well as improving your child’s swimming stroke.

  2. Soft play

If you have children aged under 11, our Buzz Zone soft play session will keep them happy and content for hours. Our areas include fun ball ponds, mouse holes, rope bridges and slides. Why not take a break and watch your little ones play while enjoying a cup of coffee in our nearby café?

  3. Bowling

Another fun idea for all the family to enjoy, especially in rainy weather. Bowling is suitable for any age, particularly those difficult tweens. This is a great choice for birthday parties, as our venues have a dedicated Party Room.

  4. Golf

Golf is a great way to get outdoors in the sunshine, enjoy some fresh air, and gives your child the chance to learn a new skill. Golf is not just for adults – our pay and play golf courses are family-friendly.

  5. Holiday camps

Our Ofsted registered camps offer a full or half day of activities to keep even the most active child happy. This includes swimming, trampolining, football and bowling, and there’s usually a special tournament at the end.

Keeping children fit and active will not only put a smile on their faces, but this is a great step towards leading a healthier lifestyle, which the whole family can enjoy.

At Mytime Active, we have a Junior Membership (0-10) and Junior Membership (11-15) which gives your child unlimited access to swimming with inflatables, soft play and golf sessions. Why not check out our handy app, which gives you fast access to our summer activities?
