What we are doing to ensure you can play golf safely?
We have made a series of changes to the course and rules of play to ensure our staff and everyone playing golf can do so safely. Below are a series of rules and changes to the normal experience at our courses being put in place to ensure our players can enjoy golf safely.
New Booking & Playing Rules
- Please do not visit the course if you are showing any symptoms of Coronavirus (temperature, cough or difficulty breathing). You will be asked to leave the course and return home if you show any symptoms during your visit
- All visits must be pre-booked and where applicable, pre-paid online
- Please only use your own equipment and balls
- Arrive no more than 10 minutes prior you tee-time
- Please refrain from handshakes or exchange of scorecards
- Please maintain social distancing throughout your visit
- Wear a golf glove (if possible) during your period of play on the golf course
- Flags must remain in at all times
- The pin hole liner will be adjusted, meaning the ball cannot fall below the surface. The ball is now considered holed if it is below the level of the putting green
- Only 1 person per buggy will be permitted inline with social distancing guidance, unless you are of the same househole/bubble
- Putting greens will be given priority for use by the next group to tee off only
- Driving ranges are open as usual
- Bunkers - with no communal rakes allowed on the course, golfers should make their very best efforts to smooth the sand using their club and/or their feet
Changes you will see at the course
- Signage throughout course will remind you of the need to keep practicing social distancing
- New routes may be outlined to ensure a single direction of traffic when navigating the site and course
- Social distance queuing systems are in place, where appropriate
- Hand sanitisers will be close to the 1st tee and 18th green, including any reception areas. Please sanitise your hands before and after your game or as required
- Bins are now available and we would ask that these are utilised
- Ball washers and drinking fountains will remain unavailable
- There will be no rakes or ball retrievers available for use
- A Marshall may be present near the first tee to support social distancing rules
- Public health messages will be displayed throughout the course
Cleanliness
- We will be following Public Health England guidance and will continue rigorous cleaning procedures throughout
- Staff will wear PPE (personal protective equipment) while cleaning
- Buggies and Trolleys will be wiped down after each customer use
- Hand sanitisers will be made available before and after play
