In accordance with guidance from the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport & Physical Activity (CIMSPA) Guidelines and our own risk assessment we enforce the following swim admission policy at West Wickham Leisure Centre , The Walnuts Leisure Centre, The Spa, Biggin Hill Pool and Darrick Wood Pool

Admissions Policy

Persons who appear to be intoxicated by alcohol or drugs or not well enough to enter the water must be refused admission.

Children under the age of 8 years must be accompanied by a responsible person aged at least 16 years, the parent or legal guardian.

4–7 2:1
8+ No ratio

Children under 8 that fall into different categories must have at least 1 adult deemed the responsible person present per category. For example, a child aged 0-3 years and a child aged 4-7 years will need two adults .

*Under all circumstances the adult/responsible person must be over 16. The responsible person must go into the water with the children they are accompanying, maintain direct control and keep a constant watch over the children, especially weak or non swimmers.
