National Obesity Awareness Week 2015

Mytime Active is proud to be an official supporter of National Obesity Awareness Week (NOAW) which runs from 12 -18 January 2015.

NOAW is intended to put the obesity problem in the national spotlight, and to promote positive change – improving the health of individuals and families, and providing information, inspiration and support to those who are overweight or obese.

Mytime Active are organising a number of events across the UK to promote the campaign and the great work we are already doing to support people in making healthier choices. To find details of your nearest event please contact your local health, golf or leisure team. We’re also encouraging everyone to make their New Year’s Resolution using our social media templates below. Print one off and take a picture of you and your friends/family/colleagues, then get posting using the hashtag #noaw. Don’t forget @mytimeactive and @_noaw so we can get involved too!

Dr David Haslam, Chairman of the National Obesity Forum, said:

"Obesity is one of the great public health issues of our time, and local communities must come together to help each to support their health and wellbeing. That's why it's great to see Mytime Active organising local events as part of National Obesity Awareness Week.

"We want this week to be a landmark in the way the country promotes good health and deals with obesity. There are simple and positive things that we can all do to help ourselves. We hope the public will be inspired by events like these and will join our National New Year’s Resolution."
