'Vinyasa' can be translated as 'arranging something in a special way'. The style of Vinyasa yoga keeps you moving from pose to pose (asana to asana), linking each pose to an inhale and an exhale of the breath.
A class described as a flowing synchronisation of body movement and breath, where poses are not held for too long but they build into a well balanced and rounded sequence, often targeting certain areas of the body or certain themes. A perfect style for beginners, but it can also push those more advanced participants to the limits.
The continuous sequence of Vinyasa yoga is great for getting your heart pumping, even when the pace is relatively slow. The practise also helps you develop a flexible, balanced body helping to reduce future injury.

Hot temperatures and high humidity make your muscles more pliable and make it easier for your muscles to stretch. This means you can increase your muscles range of motion and stretch deeper within each pose. To help your body manage the heat and therefore keep your skin cool, you will experience an increased heart rate compared to traditional Yoga. This means you get a good cardio workout while working on your flex.
